APPRAISAL GROUPS TO SIGN COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT AT AGPRO CONFERENCE
American Society of Appraisers, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers sign co-operative agreement
New York, 10 November: The American Society of Appraisers (ASA), American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA) and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) are to sign a Memorandum of Understanding, during the ASFMRA’s 79th annual conference opening reception on Wednesday, November 12, from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm at the Marriott Rivercenter Hotel in San Antonio, Texas.
The agreement follows the confirmed commitment in July 08 to collaborate on areas of common interest to enhance business opportunity, professional development and respective member opportunities. Louis Armstrong, RICS Chief Executive and Matt Bruck, RICS Americas, Managing Director will be in attendance at the conference. Ron Seaman, FASA, ASA International President, Tom Justin, FRICS, RICS Americas Chairman and Jerry Warner, AFM, ASFMRA President will officiate the signing, bringing together some of North America’s leading Valuation, Farm Management and Rural Appraisal organizations, with the worlds’ largest professional membership body for professionals employed in property, land and construction.

Most recently, the three organizations worked together to send a joint comment letter to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regarding a draft report on improvements in financial reporting. Together ASA, ASFMRA and RICS represent over 150,000 valuation professionals in 150 countries.
